Stretch & Tone Workout #1 With Zuzka, When Does The Advanced BR.TV BootCamp Start

Zuzka posted her latest workout series this morning which I found to be VERY similiar to her Power Yoga series:

Workout Breakdown
1. Cat / Cow / Pointer leg lift x 10 alt.
2. Pointer leg lift x 20/20
3. Plank Arm Switch x 20
4.  chatturanga / up dog / down dog – one leg dog heel lifts x 10  (repeat and switch legs)
5.  chatturanga / up dog / down dog – plank side knee tuck / one legged dog x 10 (repeat and switch legs)
6. Plow to push up / plow to seated forward bend x 4
7. Weighted hip thrust with abduction x 20 / Weighted Sit up x 10 / x 2 sets
8. Table lift x 10 / dancer’s stretch to one side x 6 (alternating sides)
9. Laying spine twist
The only real difference is that she threw in a power band and a dumbbell for one of the exercises. I'm not sure why she just didn't decide to do 2 Power yoga workouts in a week and do a stretch & tone, but I guess this sparks more/new interest and more viewers by introducing a new series.

It's a good one to do if you are dead from her workout yesterday! Does anyone know when BR.TV's Advanced Bootcamp with Lisa starts? I see lots of people asking her, but not a single answer. I do not follow her on Instagram, so if she has something up there, maybe some of you know? I should check. I get tired of all the damn social media! (EYE ROLL).
I thought it was supposed to start mid-June
I think both BR.TV AND Zuzka needed to start their new series in MAY - in preparation for the summer. It's late to start them now - IMO. Lots of us are already wearing bathing suits. Though I live in New England and we've only had a couple of really warm days. I'm itching to get into a bathing suit! It's been too damn cold or rainy or windy. (another EYE ROLL).

  2. And also this is from Lisa: "We have an awesome new 21 day real-time challenge coming in late July with @sugarysixpack - exclusively on BodyRock.Tv!" I am not sure how I feel about sugarysixpack..she is nice, but definitely no Jacqui, or even no Kelsey Mead..

  3. In the meantime zuzka has a lot of new workouts each week. 5 new workouts this week while BR got none! But we know that BR seels the weigthd vest...i'm kind of tired about their adds...

  4. Whatever ready suggested Fit Body by Julia I'd sure love to thank them. she is fantastic, normal and does 50-1hr plus hard workouts. Not sure why anyone would follow BR at all!

    1. Completely agree. I find their workouts unchallenging and dislike the barrage of ads all over their site. I cannot take their fitness advice serious for a number of reasons.

    2. It was me :) I suggested Julia´s channel. She is by far the most amazing trainer I have ever seen on youtube. Every workout she posts is a super challenge for me and my body improved so much thanks to her workouts. And I love that she does those subscribers workouts. You send her a workout breakdown and she does it real time. Whenever she does a workout from Lenula, it is from me :)

  5. I feel like body rock does nothing these days, but post nonsense about their travels and such. Very little output in the way of actual fitness content (like actual workouts).

  6. Lena. Thank you! Sorry my post came over with typos but glad you could figure out what I was saying. Julia is just fantastic. I can usually only do about 45 minutes of her workouts at a time because of commitments but I feel SO accomplished after working out with her. I NEVER want her to stop! BR to me is a joke. There are great sites out there (fitness blender for one and Julia!!!!) they put BR to shame! Lenula I will keep an ear open for one of your workouts! The other day someone sent in a workout with 100 jump squats as a WARM up! How long have you been working out with her to see results?

    1. Don´t worry, I often write in a "messy way" too :) I have to say that Julia´s workouts are one of the first that really bring me any results, together with workouts from Melissa Ioja, Michele Lumadue (check her channel, if you don´t know her, you will love her workouts!) and Renée´s Dream Bodies Gym. I never saw changes in my body when I did bodyrock, zuzka, etc. I have been working out for many years, so I am glad I finally see something I like :)
I have been working out with Julia from her very first workout and do her workouts daily, but I can´t say how long it takes to see results. It depends on many things, and unfortunately, my diet is a mess, so it slows down the process pretty much. But after a month or so, I noticed I have become much stronger, much more confident with many moves. Now it is probably 5 months I have been doing Julia´s workouts and I can see my arms are more toned, especially shoulders got that nice shape. For the first time in my life, I have a booty...and if I can say it, it is quite a nice booty :)
That 100 jump squats workout wasn´t actually from any follower. It was a combination of two workouts from Renée from Dream Bodies Gym website (or insanefitathome youtube channel).

    2. How often do you do their workouts? I've found a lot of different websites that I like - fitness blender, lovingfit, zwows/zcut, pilates, yoga, body by julia, befit, jillian- but it's hard for me to make a program from all of it.

    3. I have found that workouts like zwows, fitness blender or befit do nothing for me, so I do only those that I think are worth it. I do Julia´s workout and Renée´s (dreambodies gym) workouts regularly and then I may add one or two other workouts, if some of my favorite channels post something new (like Melissa Ioja, Michele Lumadue, Loving Fit, Hiitlikeagirl, Peik Chen...those are all great workout sites, but they don´t post that often, so I can´t built any schedule around them). I think it is best to decide what your program should look like (for example 2 days of strength training, one cardio day, one hiit, one low impact like pilates/yoga) and then find workouts that fit into this program. Michele, Julia and Renée do a lot of strength stuff and Hiit, Melissa is mostly hiit, fitness blender has quite a lot of pilates stuff. So you may think like that.. But you are right, there are so many channels, new starting daily, so it is hard to choose what works and make a good schedule with them.

    4. And some of those channels look great! I have a problem with overtraining in the past where I would do various workouts + a cool down and stretch. I would usually either get injuries or get burned out and stop working out for weeks afterwards. I love FB's lower body workouts, but I don't like their upper body workouts. Julia has some of the best upper body workouts that I've seen so far! I haven't tried her lower body workouts yet due to their length. I really like LovingFit's fitness approach and workouts, so I think I'll incorporate her 4 day strength training workout plan and try to incorporate her workouts as well. I do belly dancing and pilates, so I was planning on doing that for my other 3 days of the week. Thanks for your advice!

    5. This sounds like a great and well-rounded program and fitness approach! Good luck with achieving you goals :)

    6. Thanks! I eat too much to know if there's a difference lol. It was harder for me to go back to doing strength training workouts because of how much I love doing everything else! I really like Julia's workouts, but I have to workout in the morning and they're usually a bit too long; it's weird that I can dance or yoga forever, but I just don't have the endurance or the patience to do anything more than 30-45 minutes of strength training and HIIT in the mornings before class. I've been modifying Julia's routines by lowering the amount of repeats or changing the exercises. I tried following for upper body, but I'm too picky and have a really weak upper body ( I can't even do one push-up!) so I had to substitute other exercises in it as well. My metabolism is really good right now, but sugar is the death of me- there's no such thing as having just "one"!

  7. Lena, I'm betting you are the person who told me about Michelle Lumadue. I love her workouts too! She's taking a break it seems. Thanks so much for all the great sites! I have searched and searched before and never found girls like Julia and Michelle! Their workouts are so fantastic. Now if I can just stick with workouts I KNOW I'll see results!

    1. Lol, yes, that was me again :)) As you said - stick with those workouts and you have a great schedule and results will come fast. I got much stronger and better looking legs thanks to Michele´s workouts, and I also improved my strengt and endurance in general. Michele usually takes break during summer season, so you have time to catch up with her older workouts before she posts something new :)
Btw the last three workouts on Julia´s channel are from me, give them a try :)

  8. That is so cool that Julia did three of your workouts! I will definitely get on board and keep at it! Thanks again. Those three girls (Julia, Michelle and Melissa) are the best!

    1. There are nine or ten of my workouts already, those are the actual routines I do and that bring me good results.
Definitely join us in those workouts, there is a great fitness community - both Julia´ s and Michele´s channel are awesome in this aspect.
Now I am eagerly waiting for a new challenge from Melissa. She said she would start filming a new one in June.
