Other Online Workout Programs Worth Mentioning

I think most of you are quite satisfied with following BR.TV and Zuzka.
If you do want to take your strength training to the next level, I have a few recommendations for you!

I mentioned ONNIT Academy a week or so ago. They're offering a FREE ALL bodyweight 4 week program that you can follow. It is pretty intense. It does have 3 levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced, click HERE.

Then you can take it even further and sign up for their monthly on demand program that is $24.00 a month, click HERE.

I know I have also mentioned Get Glutes several times in the past - it was founded by Bret Contreras - the best in the business! www.getglutes.com

Here is a sample of a month's workouts:

Every month you get new workouts. There are also glute burn outs and conditioning finishers included with the workouts. I have been enjoying it a lot and like the strength gains I have made.

Bret has recently left Get Glutes and started his own thing called 'Strong by  Bret.' He has different online options starting at $30.00 a month. I am considering this after I finish the month I am on. I was thinking of trying Onnit, but I LOVE Bret.

I love Zuzka too and was considering her minimalist approach as well. So now there are 3 options I want to do. LOL.
I know BR.TV is coming out with an Advanced Program, but their stuff is a little too much HIIT and cardio for ME. There is nothing wrong with what they do - it is just MY personal preference.

What workouts are you guys up to these days? I'd love to hear your thoughts on some of these other programs too.
Nothing is free anymore! Zuzka and BR both used to be 100% free. But it is the way of the world. TV, radio, phone calls, water, etc, etc, nothing is free anymore!

I wish one of these programs other than Zuzka would offer yoga workouts to go along with their strength workouts.

  2. Currently following Gold Medal Bodies. In the middle of their Floor One program, but adding pulling movements so I don't lose anything there. I'll probably do their paralletes program after I finish Floor 2.

    1. Laura, do tell!!!! I've been dying to try one of their programs. I REALLY want to learn how to press into a handstand.
      Is there leg work too?

    2. The floor series is very much a skill-based program, so leg work is mostly located in conditioning - such as jump tucks x60s. Other leg work includes pirouettes into front scale, 360 degree jumps, roundoffs (not really legs but the landing can make your legs fatigue).
I'll admit I'm not following the program in full, as I am adding some shrimp squats and pistol squats for some strength work.

    3. Forgot to mention the handstands! So far I'm entering my handstand in the tuck position, which was quite a learning curve for me! I was used to kicking up with one leg and hoping for the best.. Lol. With the tuck up, I'm much more controlled, especially in my core. I'm hoping to really refine it to be even more slow and controlled, so I can eventually start trying to press into it.
MacKenzie Miller is actually a good resource for pressing into handstand as well. She's incredible at bodyweight training - especially pressing strength and control.

  3. I am doing Zuzkas workouts since I am attending medical school and working 3 jobs, so my time is limited - trying to follow her diet, but that shit is hard :P
I mostly follow her newer routines, which seems to have more strength mixed in with the cardio, I style I really love (especially her newer butt, black diamond and cash series) :)

  4. I've started Melissa Iojas HIIT mafia which is a 30 day series. She just started a new 30 day called Boss Mode. That is next. She does intense workouts that are more than 12 minutes! And they are free.
