Melissa Ioja Has A 30 Day HIIT Mafia Challenge - Real Time! And SEAN LIGHT Is Getting Married!

Thanks to one of my readers (Karoline) looks like Melissa Ioja has a new challenge available.

It is REAL TIME, it is HIIT, it is 30 days and she calls it the Mafia Challenge. She also asks you to give up sugar and alcohol for 30 days.

Here is Day 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ-AZvcDKoo
Her workouts are also typically 20-30 minutes, so a bit longer.

If any of you are going to do this with Melissa, let us know!

AND..... Sean is getting married! This was on Lisa's FB page:

  1. Melissa´s challenge is amazing, I have done all three workouts she posted so far and they were all great, mix of hiit/cardio and strength moves. I am really happy to see her back, I have always liked her a lot.

  2. Zuzka did a video recently where she records herself doing the workout, then comments something to the effect that she is now going to do the actual workout (meaning that the video we saw was just her putting it together). So yah.....more than '15 mins' of working out.

    1. Hey Lexxie! Do you remember which video that was?

    3. Are you really surprised that Zuzka in fact works out for more than 15 minutes each day. Of course she does! She has to film workouts ahead of time. Her claim now is that *anyone* can get fit with only 15 min a day, and I gotta say, she did prove that when she was still with BR. Now she never claims anymore that she does 15 min a day....obviously. Although I have my issues with her (that has become obvious :-) ), I find that she is a pro about her business and that it was interesting to me that she first goes through each exercise in the workout before she films it, I guess to memorize it.

    4. I am not surprised. I just thought it was funny that she busted herself in her own video :P
Her new book is called '15 minutes to fit', so I do believe she still claims 15 mins is enough.

    5. I don't say this to stir trouble or controversy, but I don't get why people are still so hung up about the 15 minutes thing. There are a lot of people criticizing that she doesn't *really* only do only 15 minutes, but also 5 min warm up + 5 min cool down, plus activities in her free time. I was never under the impression that she was fooling people with false information. She seems pretty active all around. I would feel fooled if she actually lifted weights or did a ton of cardio behind the scenes but still claimed she only did her workouts.

    6. About the "15 minutes to fit" book...I see your point :-) I always figured people wouldn't be so literal about it. Let's see how this book launch will go!

    7. She also had a big argument (online-style haha) with the Angry Trainer about the length of her workouts (referencing the 15 min thing). It is obvious that she does more than that...but she has said it several times that it's her 15 mins.

    8. I remember the Angry Trainer argument! I should look that up again. I have always gotten the impression that Zuzka stretches the truth when it comes to how much she works out. Her body and the 15 minutes of work SELLS. People want to believe they can look like her only by working out 15 min a day. I do think she works out more than that, and have said it many times, but that's MY impression. I do feel like she is trying to fool us a bit, but again, that's me. I don't think she is a heavy weight lifter, but I do think she practices fancy jump rope moves often, does a lot of yoga and films more than one workout a day. Again - all my impression.

    9. It's sad how much I enjoy arguing about this :-)

  3. I love Melissa Loja! Starting the challenge a little late since I just found out about it but better late than never lol

  4. Haha, I forgot about Angry Trainer... Zuzka gets super worked up about the length of workouts, but I guess that's her whole life so I can't really blame her. It doesn't really matter to me about the short timing argument. I believe anyone can get fit in 15 minutes like she claims if you push as hard as she does. I don't take that to mean that anybody can get as fit and lean as Z in that amount of effort... Obviously her work requires her to be active outside of her dedicated workout time plus she is super strict in her diet, which is huge. And obviously she is blessed with some incredible genetics.

    1. I agree Claire. I think Z looks the way she does because of 3 factors, and in this order: genetics, her diet, and LASTLY how she works out.
