Zuzka's 5 Minute Workout and the Latest Workouts for BR, Lifetime Membership for BRET's site!!!!

I typically like Zuzka's little 5 minute burn out workouts, but I did not like this one. PLEASE tell me she was NOT using 3 lb dumbbells for added resistance?!?!?  That is silly and almost insulting! For the ab exercises - ok MAYBE, but for the bridging?
I also think she has worn this bikini once before - lol.


I am still finding BR's latest challenge a little boriing, but that is me. It is free, the deliver on time, and each of the trainers have their own style. I just think it could be better organized as a group effort so we get more of the workouts.
I sometimes think Sean fakes it during his workout! Lol. I can row more than 30 lbs and do unassisted dips, so the fact that he looks like he is struggling with them with the amount of muscle he has - I'm not buying it!


One of the problems I happen to have with both BR and Zuzka is that they provide workouts - NOT training. If you want to get better, stronger, etc, you need a training plan, IMO.

  1. I agree with you on FBC - boring and unorganized! I'm still using HIITMAX, I've done 2 FBC workouts from all 13. I just said the same thing about Sean yesterday - no way he is struggling and makes me not want to do these.

  2. I do single arm row with 22 lbs for 20 reps, so I can feel it at the end. When I don't film I can do single arm row with 33 lbs, so with 2 arms for Sean has to be a game :) 3 lbs for Z is a joke :)

    3. I do wonder why Sean is faking it, so to speak. I remember at one point when Bodyrock brought in a make guest host (Chris Tye Walker, I think), I remember some people commenting, saying that 'because he's a man they weren't going to follow the workout that day'. Which is just silly, in my opinion, but to each their own. I think it is totally possible to learn from and be instructed by a male instructor or to have a male gym partner as much as a female instructor, it doesn't matter what gender you identify as. Anyway, my thought is that maybe Sean is using weights that are more attainable to female viewers or subscribers, aka the ones that b*tched about having a male host. You know that Bodyrock takes in any and all feedback, but as you can see, this one is just silly.

  3. My husband and I laughed at the pic you posted. Really?! I get for hiit the weight is lighter because of intensity...I do 50lb barbell rows. Doing hiit, it would be less...but not that much less! RE: following a male trainer- I have no problem with that at all. What I do have a problem with is when a male trainer lifts that light. He should be lifting heavier than me! But by looking at his body, I really don't think he has had great results so his physique doesn't inspire me.

    1. It is a pretty funny pic - LOL. He should be lifting heavier - IMO. I do think he has a nice body tho. I love Karim's body - I wish we would see more of him. :)

  4. That is interesting Liz and CC. Thanks for posting that. I'm pretty new to bodyrock and the back catalog looks huge so it would be really good to know what long term followers all time favorite workouts are - especially yours Gina. Maybe you could write a post about it sometime? :-)

    2. I should do a post on my favorites, but many of them are from WAY back when Zuzka used to do pull-ups, and she had a hard as hell 600 rep hotel workout that I loved too.
