Did Zuzana have her 30 day challenge results photo-shopped?

There have been lots of comments on Zuzka's FB page that the pics from her clients from her 30 day challenge look like they have been altered.
Lexxie - one of my readers - commented on one in particular, Caitlyn. If you look closely at the pic, you can see that a piece of her waist is missing.

Zuzka did reply to the accusation of the pics being altered:

    • Zuzka Light These pictures were not photoshopped. It's just some missing pixels. I will be more than happy to post more pictures of Caitlyn on my website tomorrow to show you for comparison. If I was really trying to photoshop these pictures, I would do much better job
    • Zuzka Light Someone just did a bad job with the background in attempt to make it look clean.
Zuzka's Tech team seems to be having some trouble! Missing pixels? Also, the fact that she only has DVD's and not downloads is another example of poor technology, and the fact that she doesn't ship everything internationally.
OR - perhaps it is not technology, but greed! If she is not willing to pay someone to do the job correctly, this is what is going to happen. She is being penny wise and pound foolish. I think the same thing with the DVD's. Is she really so afraid of  losing money by doing downloads because people can share them? This actually would only help spread the word of her workouts and more people would join her ZGym and buy the downloads for themselves. Silly if you ask me!

  1. I wish she did downloads or some sort of app. I don't buy her dvd anymore. But I do use zgym because I can bring it with me to the gym :)

What does she mean about the missing pixels? Maybe someone who understands that can explain it to me better.

    1. Pixels are the little dots that make up pictures on monitors. When someone from Zuzka's team removed the background they removed part of Caitlyn's waist. Just don't know if it was intentional but a poor job!

  2. DVDs do seem to be a bit outdated. I buy/have them if they're movies I've managed to get for cheap but I don't go out of my way to get them anymore. Online subscriptions/downloads is where it's at .... sadly, that's where Freddy was correct in his snide remarks about Zuzka's DVDs coming out. Petty and childish, but correct.

What Freddy's team could learn how to excel better is spelling and grammar but that's another story for another day. ;)

    2. liddlebins- I agree re: the dvds and Freddy's comment (he's still a jerk...but he was right on that one). Bodyrock's blog is a mess. They are obsessed with VS. I just don't get it.

  3. I have no idea what they were thinking posting those before and after photos. Quite embarrassing actually. I can personally tell you that Caitlyn did indeed lose the 8 lbs and her stomach dramatically changed, mostly due to a body builder type diet for the full 30 days. I myself saw great results, but the pics were terrible ! There is no doubt her dvds should be available for digital download. I get they are not free because she doesn't sponsor anything like BR -everything that crew does makes them money... they are freaking genius! Funny you never know who's reading what huh? :)

    1. Thanks for your reply Melissa!!! I appreciate it. You're right - you never know who's reading what! And I agree with you on all counts - the digital downloads, that Caitlyn did in fact lose 8 lbs, that the pics were terrible, and BR are marketing geniuses! Glad to hear you saw great results too. The diet you mention, is it one you can stick to? If you want to do a write up for this blog, go for it! I'd be happy to post it. :) you can reach me at ginatrim.martin@gmail

  4. Good to hear from you Melissa :) I love Zuzana so much. I hope she is able to better manage a few things so she doesn't lose sales (i.e.: digital downloads, some issues with zgym). I am happy to pay for her workouts. No issue there....
I was confused by some of the photos. Maybe a longer challenge would have been better? Most people don't see huge results in 30 days (so I don't look down on any of the ladies you were with doing her challenge).
Did she coach you enough on diet? As we all know, that is key...
Anyways, so great to hear from you!!!

  5. We were not really coached on diet. We were told to basically just cut the "crap" out of our day...ie sugar, carbs, fast food... Caitlyn was going to do a challenge at the gym she goes to and had the meal plan all set, then I brought her along for this ZGym challenge. (were best friends) So she took the diet plan from that challenge and used it for the Zgym. It was basically a bodybuilder diet consisting of lean protein and 2 servings of veggies every meal 6 x a day. Yeah its a lot of veggies. A longer challenge would have been far superior. I'm not really sure what their idea about this whole thing was. I am a personal trainer, they obviously didn't mention that...so for me I left the gym shaking my head most of the time for various reasons. I'd love to go into that but I don't want to burn any bridges.

    1. Thanks again for your reply Melissa! I would love to know more, but totally understand why you don't want to share. If you ever change your mind, I'd be happy to share for you. ;) my guess is that Zuzana did this challenge for one of two reasons:
She did it to compete with Freddy OR she expected different results. Zuzana gets profound results from very little exercise and sometimes I think she forgets just what an anomalie she is. Her results are largely due to her genetics and diet. She talks about diet all the time so I don't understand why she didn't cover more of it with you guys. Lastly, she should have mentioned you were a trainer! It's great to know even a trainer can get results from her workouts.

  6. Thank-you for the reply Melissa. I wish I could know more, but respect what you are saying re: not saying too much.
I am disappointed that diet was not shared with the girls in detail. If it was me hosting the competition, I would have put lots of effort into diet. I think I would have discussed macros in detail, provided recipes, maybe even bring the girls on a grocery shopping trip. AND I would have done this a couple weeks before the challenge started so they would be ready to go (rather than learn these diet tips partway through the challenge).

I think perhaps I have thought through Zuzana's challenge more than she did :P

    1. Good points Lexxie. The grocery shopping idea is such a great one. Total missed opportunity on Zuzka's part. Maybe it was all simply to drive more traffic to her sites.
