Lisa-Marie from the dailyhitt.com had her breast implants removed!

And Thank God. They looked so ridiculous!

If you read her latest post on Facebook so goes on to describe all the troubles she has had with her implants. Serves her right! She messed with perfection. I mean she has a body most of us can only dream of having and clearly did not need plastic surgery.
But with that being said, I think it took a lot of guts for her to share her story. This is her THIRD breast implant operation. She had the first one 18 mos ago, and then in Dec had them redone smaller. I did not know that, nor did I notice they were any smaller - at all! Now she has had them removed and her breasts need to heal, and then she might have them done - again! She is crazy if she does.
I also did not know of all the trouble she was having physically (lots of limitations with her workouts) and mentally. I mean if it is giving her that much trouble, move on. She is perfect the way she is. Geez.
But again, good for her for sharing her story. Certainly makes me NOT want to get implants.
I'm a workout fanatic like Lisa and would not want any limitations or down time from my workouts.
I work with a nurse, and she told me that breast implant surgery and recovery is - "no Joke." I guess because it is so common these days I had no idea how complex it could be.
I guess I'll stick with a padded bra. LOL.
I'l be able to take Lisa a lot more seriously with her original body.

  1. I guess I am a bit biased since I have breast implants (never thought I'd be one to get them, but my breasts sure changed as I aged!). Most women do not have problems working out after getting implants. I think the reason why they effected her workout is is due to her not allowing for enough healing time during her first surgery.
I can't remember how long it was until she went back at it, but I would say three weeks. My doctor told me six weeks before I even attempt any pushups, jumping etc. My guess is this is what caused the capsular contracture. This complication is serious, but for most women, the additional surgery can correct it and once healed, a woman can go back to being just as active.
My guess is her lack of downtime set her up to still have issues even when she downsized from 450cc to 350cc.
I don't mind bigger boobs, but I thought the 450 looked horrible. The 350 looked better, but even though I like a somewhat 'fake' look, they were still too fake for my liking.
If it is due to working out too soon, I hope she shares that, as that is a bit more accurate than simply blaming it on implants themselves.

    1. Thanks Lexxie for your input. This is very informative. I just not like the way breast implants look because I feel everyone can tell they are fake. But I DO understand why people get them. My whole body is not the same after turning 40 I tell you! So not fair.
I agree, I think LM was back after 3 weeks. I remember being surprised when she returned so fast.
I have a few friends with implants, and though they are not natural looking, they do look good - one, they rested the 6 weeks, and two, they did not get breasts too big for their frames!

  2. I had a breast lift and I got told 6 weeks to get back to normal, and even 6 weeks after I did not feel I was ready for upper body exercise, my scars were still really red , it didn't feel comfortable to be jumping around, and I would have to wear a really supportive bra, so I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would have felt for LM to be doing bodyrock workouts in a skimpy top with massive implants under the skin. I really think LM would have had a better outcome if she had taken enough rest - although I do think the size of the implants would be partially to blame for the problems (a larger implant must cause more tension on the skin and tissues).
In my opinion the first implants were way too big for her frame which is narrow hipped, slim and athletic. Obviously I'm not against cosmetic surgery, but I do think that you have to work with what you've got, enhance or improve.
I hope that overall, the whole implants story makes people realise that surgery is not something to be taken lightly, even though it is so common these days.

    1. Thanks for the comment. LM most likely did not have enough recovery time, and her implants were too big for her frame as you said.

  3. "Serves her right!"

I don't agree with this statement. She didn't deserve the hell she went through. I left bodyrock because of her plastic surgery choice, but she still did not deserve that nightmare.

Do you know why women even get their boobs done? Because we live in a patriarchy, sexist, misogynistic world where girls learn from a really young age that their only self worth is based on their beauty and perfection and how well they can turn on a man. Girls are raised this way. Boys are raised to view women as sexual objects, not people.

The perfect women does not exist unless you have plastic surgery.

Women who work out the way she does looses body fat particularly in the chest. Fit women normally have a flat chest. If you look at every single women's fitness magazine, it's not okay to have a flat chest from being fit. Over 99% of fitness models have had their boobs done. Fitness models know that you cannot be a fitness model without having your boobs done. There is sooooo much pressure from society to have their boobs done.

Until society changes and women are equal to men (the reality is we're not yet), we will continue to see women feel pressured into having plastic surgery to fix their so called imperfections. Men need to stop viewing women as non-human sexual objects only for their pleasure.

I respect Lisa Marie more then ever for her bravery for coming out and sharing her story. I only hope and pray that Lisa recovers fully and is at peace.. mind body and soul..

    1. Hi there. Thanks for your comment. I agree, she was brave for coming out with her story. She did not deserve what happened to her. I just meant serves her right for messing with perfection! And no one out there is perfect, plastic surgery or not. We all have our faults, and exercise helps many of become more confident. Though I do not agree with much of what bodyrock.tv does these days, they DO help people get off the couch and moving, and I'm all for that!

  4. A guy friend of mine asked me why I got implants. The best I could explain it was that I was very happy with my body as it is lean and muscular, but then my boobs were gone :( I was sad that I was able to have a body I was finally really happy with, but then I had no breast tissue. For me, I wanted the whole package (well, for me, that is what the whole package is..boobs and ripped bod). I know this isn't everyone's ideal and wouldn't ever think someone 'needs' implants. But it was my ideal...

My husband never, ever pressured me to get them. When I said I wanted them, he was supportive. I never thought I'd be one to get implants, but my body changed as I aged and became leaner as well.

    1. Thanks for sharing Lexxie. I'm over 40 and have had my 2 kids after I turned 35. i have no boobs and no ripped body! LOL. I can certainly understand why women get implants, but I did not get it that Lisa wanted them, nor why so ridiculously big for her body. She's only 31, no kids, no droopy boobs, and her natural ones are proportionate to her body. But to each their own. I think she looks better without them. I have several friends with implants as well. One ended up getting them removed, they were too big for her as she got older. Another one, well hers look so fake - like cement blobs. Another one looks GREAT. She chose the right size, waited 6 weeks for recovery, and went back for a touch up. They each had different surgeons and I think that makes a huge difference as well.
