BR.TV Intermediate Bootcamp, Week 2 Day 5, Zuzka's Yoga

Hmmmm.... Again not one of my favorites despite how much I like Edith!

How are all of you liking it?

Zuzka has still been posting her yoga workouts, but they are much more stretching focused than strength these days.
How have you all been liking that direction? I miss her hard core yoga. I'd love it mixed in with the stretch moves....

  1. To be honest I don´t like that intermediate series at all - I don´t see anything intermediate about it. All the workouts so far seemed very easy to me, more like a beginner´s stuff. I like the daily hiit show workouts much more, they are way more challenging, but the second season finished pretty soon. I wonder if they stopped posting new workouts, because they wanted to bring more attention to this intermediate series... And now bodyrock is also posting those recipes on the youtube channel, maybe they want to show Zuzka who´s the chef here? :))

    1. As someone in the target audience for the intermediate series, I think they are hitting exactly the right note. This series is not meant for any of the people who can do their regular workouts, even in a modified way. This isn't for intermediate exercisers. This is for very out of shape people who just finished the beginner series. I'm seeing this as BodyRock saying to beginners "Start here! Do the beginner bootcamp first! Now do it a second time and see how much you improved! Now do the intermediate series! See how much more you can do?! Now do the regular daily hit or whatever we throw at you and you already know how to modify when you need to. Yay! Now you're a bodyrocker!"

The beginner and intermediate bootcamps are really stand alone answers to people who don't know where to start. They can make these two series once and then link to them for years to come for everyone who is just starting. They are really good for who they are made for.

    2. Hi Sherri. Thanks for your point of view. I see what you mean. But for long time BR followers, we probably see it differently. After their RTC and HIIT Max, these are much simpler routines for intermediate level. BUT - if you are just jumping into it from the beginner level, then you are right, it probably flows right along.

    1. I really hope to see more tabatas and more leg/glutes oriented workouts. I have only dumbbells and sandbag at home, so I prefer workouts that have little equipment, but high intensity.
Oh, and I have to say I truly appreciate how you communicate with others - on your FB page, on youtube, everywhere. This is what I missed before, the feeling that I am being a part of a community :)

    2. Love, love, LOVE tabatas - you'll for sure see more of those! And I'm right there with you on legs and glutes - I can't get enough lower body workouts lol - I'll incorporate more!

The feeling is certainly mutual with regard to the communication. I love talking with people, seeing their sweaty high fives and hearing everyone's story, it's amazing. The community is awesome! Thanks again for providing feedback, I truly appreciate it! I hope you have an awesome rest of your week!!
