Zuzka's Kettlebell Workout #2 for Beginners, Cookie Recipes, BR Lean Day #4, Picture of Zuzka on BR? Freddy's great post about Lisa

What do you guys think of Zuzka's Kettlebell workout for beginners? I think these workouts are great - and are simple enough to make harder. Pick up the pace, add heavier weight, more reps or more rounds.
Forward lunges are much harder for beginners than reverse lunges so I would switch that around for newbies. Even regular lunges without the Kettlebell  pass through can be plenty for new people.
Since Zuzka is so adamant that she ONLY does the same workouts that provides for us, I wonder if she adds on for herself on beginner days?
I love the single leg deadlifts. They are a great back and booty exercise. :)

Zuzka also has a cookie dough recipe on her site. VERY high in fat, calories and dairy - in my opinion. I'm not crazy about those kinds of recipes unless it is for Christmas day for example.
I made some oatmeal cookies yesterday for my kids. I used steel cut oats and put it into my food processor to make it more into a powder. This helped make the cookies crunchy. I love crunchy cookies. A lot of substitute recipes for healthier cookies come out mushy or fall apart. This worked GREAT.

1/2 cup steel cut oats
1 tbsp coconut flour
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup Stevia
As much or as little cinnamon as you'd like

I mixed it all up, put on a cookie sheet (I added chocolate chips too) and baked at 375 for 15 minutes. You might need a little less or longer depending on your oven. I let the bottoms get brown as I wanted mine crunchy. I ate WAY too many. Tis the season!

BR Day #4 is here with Kelsey. I have really been enjoying her. This was another leg dominant day. She did push-ups with a donkey kick which was pretty cool. I think push-ups with a leg lift would work well here too. I absolutely loved the side lunge into curtsy lunge move. I did these myself, but did them goblet style as I did not have a bar (she used the HIIT bar and Weights)  to put on my back. I needed to take a break between sides because holding a heavy-ish weight goblet style is much harder to hold than on the backs of your shoulders. (I used 35 lb Kettlebell).
The only thing I didn't like here was the deadlifts. Now don't get me wrong I looooooove deadlifts. But Kelsey was using less than 30 lbs. This is an exercise where almost everyone can use quite a bit of weight. I know it is a HIIT workout and moving from one exercise to the next doesn't allow for optimal weights, so I think a one legged deadlift would have been better suited here - IMO of course.

OK, stupid point, but Lisa did all 5 workouts in a row on one day. Do you think they split Kelsey's up or did she just change outfits? :)
I checked out her burnout workouts for this week too. One was an ab one - various planks and another was a booty one, which I thought was more legs overall than just the glutes. But as I said before, I find Kelsey very likable.

I am GLAD to see them doing a BOOTY series. Love! But isn't this a pic of Zuzka? I remember those shorts because I wanted a pair, but I could be way off. I just find it surprising they would use a picture of her, but I'm probably the only one who noticed. LOL.

On another note, did you see the post that Freddy did on his FB page about Lisa? I thought it was super sweet. I know it has been mentioned more than once that not every one thinks they are a couple. They spend the holidays apart. Before I had kids, I didn't always spend the holidays with my hubby though. I think whatever they are doing must work for them. I did too at one time think they would pretend to be together as people were used to a 'power couple' running BR. But BR has been doing such a GREAT job with the HIIT Max series - customer service wise especially - so let them keep doing whatever they're doing. I thought his kind words about her were nice to share.

  2. I also noticed it was Zuzka booty from her BR days.

    I really love Z kettlebell serie. Did the workout with my 30 lbs KB and it wasn't a begginer Level for me!

    What about your sweat factor subscriptipn? ️Are you still there also?
