BR.TV Intermediate Boot Camp Week 3 Day 2 With Edith, The Daily HIIT Show With Jacqui

Well, strength week continues today and the workout was led by Edith. Again a fairly good grouping of exercises - IMO. A push, a pull, a leg and ab exercise. I loved how it was total body, and that assisted pistols and rows were included. I don't know how many of you stick to the 12 minutes or add on, but I would do 5 or 6 rounds of this and would love it. I like longer workouts, but I know not everyone does or wants to.
How are you all liking strength week compared to the other weeks of the intermediate program?

There was some discussion the other day on this blog (see comments HERE) about The Daily HIIT Show with Jacqui.
Jacqui herself even replied! (Thanks!!!)
I hadn't given it much of a look mostly because I didn't find it user friendly to get to. The link on Jacqui's FB page takes you to BR's web-site where I was bombarded with ads not only on the page, but also at the start of the video. I also get the 'share' option that pops up on the left hand side of the screen. I find that all annoying, but that's not Jacqui's fault.
So I went and had a look at many of her videos.
These workouts are definitely high intensity - much more of true HIIT style workouts. If you are looking for those kinds of routines, then definitely check them out.
She has a cute voice and bubbly personality too.
I find it so funny how Zuzka, Lisa, Edith and Jacqui all have very distinct accents. Though if you ever heard me talk with my awful Boston accent you'd laugh. (Yes, I say Pahk the Cah in Hahvahd Yahd. And whenever there is a show or movie that imitates Boston accents, they do a HORRIFIC job). :)
I know Sean does some of TDH Show workouts too, but I haven't watched it yet. Another husband and wife team. Like Freddy and Zuzka used to be, but Freddy never did any of the workouts on camera. I bet A LOT of people would tune in to see him workout. Lol.
I hope Jacqui and Sean do one together. Jacqui - kick his butt!

  1. Aaahhhhh thank you Gina for checking it out!! We'll be starting to shoot season 3 in the next week or so and I'll be incorporating more strength based workouts - I know you love those and look forward to your critique if you check it out :) I hope you have a great rest of the evening! Thank you again for checking out some of the workouts!

  2. I reallyyyyy like how they have cut down on equipment compared to HIIT Max! Some of the exercises there seemed to incorporate equipment for the sake of eqipment. This time around it seems less misplaced and put to better use! There is nothing wrong with using the sandbag, equalizer and step (and occational jump rope) Z uses kettlebells, dumbbells, jump rope and sometimes a pullup bar and a ball! It was just TOO much (for just 12 min)!

  3. I like Jacqui and Sean, they are a great team and I really like all of their workouts. I also enjoy their talks during the workouts, they are both very funny and supportive, and to me Jacqui is a great role model. She seem like a strong lady with a healthy body and heaůthy self-perception. I usually do the workouts as a finisher to my longer workout, so I stick to those 12 minutes. The same applies to the intermediate series. This strength week is quite good, I liked Edith´s workout, rows and pistols are great moves.

  4. So as an example are some of you doing weight lifting, say leg, for 30-40 minutes a day then finishing with a HiIT?

    2. I typically do a HIIT workout at the end of my weight lifting 3 times a week. I vary it, but right now I am into sprinting, high knees and Kettlebell snatches.
