So Zuzka finally post her #7 workout in the Guns & Pistols series late last night. It was a goodie too. Certainly looks tough on the legs.
The filming of it wasn't too bad either. Jesse did a pretty good job!
As one of my readers mentioned (thanks Lexxie) Zuzka might have left Watch It Now Entertainment because she could afford to after being bought out from BR. I sure she made a mint from being bought out. I bet Freddy took great pleasure in removing all of her old videos too.
I guess Zuzka wanted to go back out on her own? I wonder if she screwed over Watch It Now?
I remember reading somewhere that WIN approached Zuzka to come to Cali to film her workouts and this started the whole break up between her and Freddy. Now she left WIN?
Makes me think of the expression - Always be nice to people on the way up; because you'll meet the same people on the way down. Or never bite the hand that feeds you. I hope Zuzka is not walking all over people. I could be way off but it does seem like she is using people to get to where she wants to go. Or maybe that is just my perception. She should have her next video posted tomorrow night.
Lisa did workout #8 as an all abs workout. This one was done without the weighted vest - which I found odd. Of all workouts it would seem to me the vest would be the most appropriate here. She did use the Bosu and wall ball a lot - no surprise there. There also was no jumping around in this one either. Even her 'cardio of the day' wasn't really cardio. It was this weird pelvic tilting with feet on the Bosu and hands on the ball. LOL.
Both Lisa and Zuzka are entertaining and inspiring to watch - in very different ways. They still motivate people to get off their couches so that will always be a positive thing. I wouldn't want my daughters to have these ladies as role models, but for the adult generation, they are doing a good thing. Most of us can see through the plastic surgery, sales pitches, and behind the scene drama - they aren't fooling anyone. We can take what we want from it and leave the rest behind.
I just might use some of Lisa's ab moves in my next Core Strength and Stretch Class (Just not the pelvic pumping one - HA)! :)

ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I joined BR sometime after the whole breakup with Z and Freddy, and I loved Lisa but could see, once she got the surgery, that something wasn't right. And it wasn't as simple as "I decided to get implants". Even at 26, 27 years old, I had to pick apart and fine-tune my vision when it came to her as a personality and a fitness leader, etc. Now I'm more of my own leader as it were, still inspired by having found BR and high intensity interval training in the first place, but it took a lot to get here. Having a healthy perspective is so important. Bodyrock slacked on that for a bit, to be honest, but they're coming back ever so slowly but they are, so good on them [now]. But what a lapse there was. At least that was my observation.
SUCH A GOOD point! Having a healthy perspective IS so important and Lisa clearly does not have one of herself. Having her as our leader and trainer is a bit well, wrong in a lot of ways, even though she is quite good at what she does.
