On Air with Ryan Seacrest's fitness contest

Both bodyrock.tv and Zuzka have made it to round 3 and asking for us to help them make it to round 4.
Who are you guys voting for?

There are lots of other folks in there too. Some I am familiar with and others I am not.

There is Kino Yoga and Tara Stiles Strala yoga. I was happy to see 2 yogi's up there, but I am admittedly not a fan of these 2.
Kino Yoga has some great stuff - if you are an advanced yogi. Kino MacGregor does some fun stuff, but is horrible at explaining at how to get into poses. Even for those of us ready to go to the next level, she just doesn't cut it when it comes to explanations. (IMO). Tara Stiles can be a bit better, but she does not promote a healthy lifestyle - again IMO. She is emaciated. Kino has a much healthier looking body and promotes a healthy image, so that's a good thing. Both of them promote movement and clean eating, so that's not a bad thing either.
But check these out:

Anyone able to do a handstand after watching this? LOL.
How about after watching this tutorial?!

And Tara calls this easy!

Here is a picture of Tara. Not a good body image, at least I don't think so. She looks way too thin - anorexic almost.

Kino has a healthier looking body:

There is another site I never heard of, Amanda Russell, so I checked her out. Her advice was ok - more for beginners, except for the running. She is a big time runner and looks like one of those lanky marathon runners. Again, not the healthy fitness image I anticipated. Even though BR Lisa is on the skinny side, she looks like she eats. These other 2 women I am not so sure about!

Do anyone of you recognize or follow the other sites listed? http://www.ryanseacrest.com/2014/06/02/round-3-vote-for-your-favorite-youtube-health-and-fitness-star/

I also came across this which I thought many of you would be interested in. :) This guy's site is pretty cool and the posting about which women's fitness blogs to read was fairly interesting.

  1. I wish the Sean Vigue was featured in this contest! He's amazing. I highly recommend him for power yoga, pilates, overall strength and cardio. It's not really restorative yoga altogether but his approach definitely focuses on using your bodyweight, which is something you have for your whole life. (shrugs)

  2. I'm voting for Kelli and Daniel from FitnessBlender. I just finished their newest 1000 kcal workout. :) I love Zuzka and follow some others on the list but for me, FitnessBlender has the most thrustworthy and healthy approach in youtube's fitness world. They are very down-to-earth people, they don't want to sell me anything, no tools, no supplements or unreachable dreams.

Tara Stiles was a ballet dancer and she still has that body type. A bit too thin for my taste too but I don't think she promotes unhealthy lifestyle. I miss my favourite youtube yogi guru from the list, Sadie Nardini. I've started my yoga experience with her 21 Day Yoga Body program, it gave me a solid base and love for yoga, so I will always have a soft spot in my heart for her.
