I'm not big on long grueling workouts as I think that too many of them can be overly taxing on the body, and it sets you up for a vicious cycle of - hard workout=super hungry = work out harder to try and burn off what I ate = even more hungry, etc......
But for holidays workouts like this one are great!
I saw one like this online (check out garagewarrior.com), but made some changes that I thought made the workout better (IMHO).
Dynamic Warm-Up, 30 seconds each, no rest, 3 rounds
- Crab Touches X 5 Each Leg
- Glute Bridge X 15
- Jumping Jacks X 15
- Pushups X 15
Then hold hip flexor stretch 30 seconds each side
1 Minute Break
Ab Workout, 3 rounds
Ab Workout, 3 rounds
- Power Wheel Or Swiss Ball Rollouts X 15
- Dumbbell Wood Chop X 10 (Each Side)
- Break Dance Push Ups X 10
Metabolic Resistance Training, 3 rounds
- Deadlifts X 10
- Inverted Rows X 10
- Dive Bomber Push ups X 10
- Bulgarian Split Squat Jumps X 10 (Each Side)
- Hip Thrusters x10
Fat Loss Accelerator 40/20, 2 rounds
- Walkout To Pushup
- Jumping Lunges (Alternating)
- Burpees
- KB or DB Swings
Metabolic Density Training
- 20 Seconds Per Exercise With 10 Seconds Rest = 1 Round
- Do All Rounds Of The Exercise Before Moving To The Next
- Do Not Rest Between Exercises
- Jump Rope X 8 Rounds (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
- Inverted Rows X 4 Rounds (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
- KB or DB Clean X 4 Rounds, rt side (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
- KB or DB Clean X 4 Rounds, lt side (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
- Single Leg Deadlift x 6 rounds (3 rounds rt 3 rounds left) (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
Accelerator Finale
- Do 2 Rounds Then DONE!
- KB or DB Snatch X 10 Each Side
- Spiderman Pushup X 5 Each Side
- Jump Squats X 15
- V Ups x 10
