Burn 1000 Calories With This Workout!

I plan on doing this workout tomorrow morning before the Easter Festivities start!

I'm not big on long grueling workouts as I think that too many of them can be overly taxing on the body, and it sets you up for a vicious cycle of - hard workout=super hungry = work out harder to try and burn off what I ate = even more hungry, etc......

But for holidays workouts like this one are great!

I saw one like this online (check out garagewarrior.com), but made some changes that I thought made the workout better (IMHO).

Dynamic Warm-Up, 30 seconds each, no rest, 3 rounds
  1. Crab Touches X 5 Each Leg
  2. Glute Bridge X 15
  3. Jumping Jacks X 15
  4. Pushups X 15
Then hold hip flexor stretch 30 seconds each side

1 Minute Break 

Ab Workout, 3 rounds

  1. Power Wheel Or Swiss Ball Rollouts X 15
  2. Dumbbell Wood Chop X 10 (Each Side)
  3. Break Dance Push Ups X 10
1 Minute Break 

Metabolic Resistance Training, 3 rounds

  1. Deadlifts X 10
  2. Inverted Rows X 10
  3. Dive Bomber Push ups X 10
  4. Bulgarian Split Squat Jumps X 10 (Each Side)
  5. Hip Thrusters x10
2 Minute Break 

Fat Loss Accelerator 40/20, 2 rounds

  1. Walkout To Pushup
  2. Jumping Lunges (Alternating)
  3. Burpees
  4. KB or DB Swings
2 Minute Break 

Metabolic Density Training 
  • 20 Seconds Per Exercise With 10 Seconds Rest = 1 Round
  • Do All Rounds Of The Exercise Before Moving To The Next
  • Do Not Rest Between Exercises
EXERCISES/REPS 
  1. Jump Rope X 8 Rounds (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
  2. Inverted Rows X 4 Rounds (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
  3. KB or DB Clean X 4 Rounds, rt side (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
  4. KB or DB Clean X 4 Rounds, lt side (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
  5. Single Leg Deadlift x 6 rounds (3 rounds rt 3 rounds left) (20 sec on/10 sec rest)
2 Minute Break 

Accelerator Finale 
  • Do 2 Rounds Then DONE! 
EXERCISES/REPS 
  1. KB or DB Snatch X 10 Each Side
  2. Spiderman Pushup X 5 Each Side
  3. Jump Squats X 15
  4. V Ups x 10
